Sky Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting for a CNC Laser Cutter Setter / Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting 2D and / or 3D CNC laser Machines. Producing components from sheet metal and formed metal boxes. predominately for the oil ang gas industry and complying with ATEX and UL certified product’. Understanding Mechanical engineering drawings and inspecting your own work.

Job Responsibilities

• Setting and Operating equipment such as but not limited to:2D and / or 3D CNC laser cutter machines, Deburring tools and inspection tools. Loading programs and working with engineering. Product Materials include but are not limited to Stainless Steel, Mild steel and Aluminium.
• Strict following of Job Cards printed from SAP system, process specifications, Engineering Drawings, Standard Work Instructions, Preventative Maintenance, 5S standards and audits, and any other systems or procedures to maintain high ATEX and UL standards of product integrity and lean manufacturing execution.
• Ability to use, maintain, and edit programs on all equipment required for processes listed in section 1. This role will also require the use of measurement equipment including but not limited to shadowgraph, borescopes, Vernier, micrometre, hardness test, and various digital 2D and 3D measurment equipment.
• Able to inspect own work including but not limited to fit to fixture/ tooling/ gauges, adherence to visual inspection data card as required by the product, and the general requirements of successive inspection.
• Active participation in Safety and Continuous Improvement actives including but not limited to: Guard Check sheets, Risk assessments, Problem solving to reduce scrap & rework, productivity and standard work events, improve workplace organisation and 5S, on the job training of team members.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of maths and English
• General Computer Skills for access to drawings and procedures preferred
• CNC laser cutting
